DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

FOR FACULTY/STAFF:

Technology Applications Assessments will be conducted in Rooms 205 and 207 on Wednesday, May 22, and Thursday, May 23.

PLEASE ANNOUNCE TO STUDENTS:  
LRC Textbook Returns Day is Thursday, May 23.  Remember to bring your textbooks to class!

CJHS Field Day is scheduled for Thursday, June 6.  Sign up with your second period teacher for your best event before Friday, May 24. 

NO MORE LUNCH CHARGES AFTER FRIDAY, MAY 24!

CISD will observe the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, May 27.  Regular classes will resume on Tuesday, May 28.

Finals week is May 28-31. We will observe the regular bell schedule.

Eighth graders will Field Trip on Thursday-Friday, May 30-31. 

We will clean out lockers the last week of school: 
Monday, June 3, 2nd Period -- 7th Graders
Tuesday, June 4, 2nd Period -- 8th Graders

CJHS Awards Assembly is planned for Wednesday, June 5.

We will dismiss early at 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6.

The end of the sixth six-weeks grading period/second semester and the last day of student instruction is Thursday, June 6.

CJHS FACULTY/STAFF FUNDS -- INFORMATION
SUNSHINE FUND:
This is the money we use to remember each other with cards or flowers when hospitalized or if we have a death in the family.  All staff will want to contribute $10 per semester.  You may give your contribution to Sunshine Chairman Ms. Renea Elliott or Ms. Susan Rucker in the main office.

PAPER PLATES KITTY:
This is a separate account.  As the name suggests, we purchase large and small paper plates, napkins, plastic eating utensils, cups, dish detergent, paper towels, etc., for monthly birthday cakes and our occasional theme lunches.  All staff will want to contribute toward this fund, monetarily or with products.

Also, throughout the year, you may choose to "pay" for your meal through this fund rather than to bring a covered dish to spread at campus covered dish luncheons.

COFFEE CLUB:
Of course, this club is set up for coffee drinkers.  It costs $10 per month, and coffee is provided in the main office and in the LRC.  There should be no other coffee machines on campus.  If you wish to pay per cup, it costs 50 cents for a paper cupful or $1 per your own coffee mug, no thermos please!  

Drinking water is provided from fountain in the main office, free of charge.

SUB CALLING SYSTEM - 903/694-7540

CJHS Faculty/Staff: 
Your 5-digit CISD ID number is required to log-in to the Substitute Teacher Automated CallPlus System.  If you have a shorter number, add a zero in front.  Do not hang up until the program states, "Your absence has been recorded."  When the prompt asks you for special instructions, this is your opportunity to give details about specific duties, times, classroom instructions, parking, etc.  A current sub list is always available to you in our main office.

CJHS Substitute Teachers:
Your 5-digit CISD ID number is required to connect with the Substitute Teacher Automated CallPlus System.  Follow the prompts to accept/decline an assignment.  If you accept a date that later you cannot keep, please call the number listed to edit your calendar.  If a teacher has called you personally, please call that teacher to change your agreement.  Your date will not be recorded in the substitute computer; and therefore, it cannot be changed within the computer system.

CJHS BLUE JEAN POLICY
Beginning at the start of the school year through the end of our CJHS football season, faculty/staff may wear blue jeans WITH official campus faculty shirts on Thursdays.  After CJHS football season, faculty/staff may wear blue jeans WITH official campus faculty shirts on Fridays.  As a campus fundraiser, faculty/staff may wear blue jeans one other day of the week for only $2.
WINDSUIT WEDNESDAYS
On Wednesdays, CJHS faculty and staff are permitted to wear windsuits.  These suits may be any color or design, but must be in good condition with matching pants and jacket.
